“
Not only Prince but set on such a pinnacle of dignity that we know no superior on earth”
In a way, capturing this high opinion of himself was the central idea for the concept. Dressed to Kill at the Tower of London was the most comprehensive exhibition of its kind ever to be held in the UK. Many of Henry’s personal arms and armour were brought together from the UK and internationally, including the MET in New York and the Musée de l’Armée in Paris, and displayed together for the first time since the reign of Elizabeth I.
The jaw dropping presentation set over three floors of the 11th-century White Tower, took its cues from a catwalk fashion show rather than a traditional arms and armour display.
What’s the story...
“
This is a majestic story of England’s most famous, and perhaps most infamous king, told through the magnificent arms and armour on display.”
What the client said...
“
It is very rare indeed that the final built exhibition outshines the often over shiny visuals that design companies produce as part of their tender presentation. In the case of our Henry VIII exhibition our expectations were not only met, but massively surpassed.”
